If you want to explore the area around Bovenkarspel, we recommend the following activities; - In the spring many flower bulb fields can be found. - Hiking, swimming, fishing or sunbathing, it's all possible in the Streekbos (forest) on a few minutes from the hotel. - Also the IJsselmeer can be found on walking distance where you can surf, sail or swim. - The beatiful and fully restored mill the Ceres - At the Kolk (Broekerhaven) a restaurated boat elevator, DE OVERHAAL. This boat elevator lifts the boats from the main land into the IJsselmeer. (zie onder) - Mall on 10 minutes walking distance. In the spring a visit to the Holland Flower Festival in Zwaagdijk-Oost is definitely worth it. Enkhuizen is a place for the children where there's an attraction park, fairy tale park and a subtropical swimming paradise. Also worth a visit, the Zuiderzeemuseum, Medemblik, Hoorn, Edam, Volendam, Marken, Alkmaar.The coastal area of Noord-Holland is very interesting with the towns Bergen aan zee,Groet and Schoorl On an hour drive from Bovenkarspel you will find the Keukenhof, opened from the end of March until mid May.

Route Description From Amsterdam; A7 direction Enkhuizen N302. At the junction Veiling CNB take a right. Go straight ahead at the rotary intersection and at the end of the road take a right. After 50 meters you will find our hotel on your right hand side. From Lelystad; From the dike Lelystad – Enkhuizen take a right to the N302. The first traffic light take a left. After 1 kilometer you arrive you will find our hotel on your left hand side. By train; Get off at Bovenkarspel - Flora stop. take a right and after 5 minutes walking you will see the hotel on the left side of the road.
