We welcome you daily from 07:00 until 23:00 hours in our air conditioned à la carte restaurant. Our à la carte menu offers a large variety of dishes, with seasonal specialities and delicious daily menus. There are frequent special activities and buffets organised in the restaurant.
PoliciesCancellation Policy:If cancelled up to 1 day before the date of arrival, no fee will be charged. If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged. Children and Extra Bed Policy: All children are welcome. All children under 2 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding. All children under 2 years are charged EUR 6.50 per night and person for cots. All older children or adults are charged EUR 10.00 per night and person for extra beds. Maximum capacity of total guests in a room is 2. Deposit Policy:No deposit will be charged. VAT and city/tourist taxes: VAT is included. Service charge is included. EUR 0.77 city/tourist tax per person per night is not included. Internet:Wireless internet is available in the entire hotel and costs EUR 5.95 per hour. Meal Plan: Buffet breakfast is not included and costs EUR 11.50 per person. Parking:Free public parking is possible on site. Pets: Pets are allowed. Charges may be applicable. The hotel reserves the right to pre-authorise credit cards prior to arrival.
By car from Groningen (A28): Take exit 33 (Assen/Smilde). At the roundabout at the end of the exit, go left (take the roundabout for 3/4). Go straight ahead at the traffic lights. You will enter the parking of Van der Valk Assen. From Hoogeveen (A28): Take exit 33 (Assen/Smilde). At the end of the exit, go left. You continue the road under the viaduct. At the traffic lights, head to the left. You will enter the parking of Van der Valk Assen. By train: From the station in Assen, the best option is to take a train taxi or take the bus (see below). By bus: Take bus 16 from Assen train station. The bus will stop a 5 minute walk from the hotel.
