In the middle of the hilly ‚Hochsauerland’ you will find the Dutch hotel “Der Holländer”. It offers modern rooms, a comfortable restaurant and a “gezellige” bar. Furthermore you have the possibility to relax in the sauna and in the steambath or have fun at our bowling alley. Especially for active tourists the hotel offers a lot of possibilities, since it is settled in the biggest ski resort northwards the Alps. Close by you will find the biggest ski slope of the Sauerland, the ‘Fort Fun’ and ‘Hunau’, which is settled in the middle of the ski resorts Winterberg and Willingen. In the summer the Sauerland is a paradise for motorcyclists, since it offers winding roads, exciting views and a great variety of landscapes to discover. Also mountainbikers will enjoy the great tracks of the BikeArena or in the wide woods of the area. And on the famous ‘Rothaarsteig’ hikers kann walk for hundreds of kilometers across the Sauerland, the Siegerland and finally into the Westerwald. The exciting theme park ‘Fort Fun’ is about 2 km away from the hotel, and we offer a free shuttle service for our guests. When staying at the Holländer, you will also get the Sauerland Card, which offers free or reduced entrance to lots of sights and attractions of the region.

Hotel Information

The village Andreasberg is a typical old mining village. It was founded in the 1750s, when the mining was rapidly developing in the region. In the village Ramsbeck you can visit the mining museum which shows the history of the regional mining, and close by you will find the ‘Karl-Haber-Stollen’, a gallery which is now a mining monument. The hotel was constructed in the year 1932 as a school. At the end of the 1970s it was remodelled into a hotel with 18 guestrooms, a unique bar, a cosy restaurant with a fireplace, a meeting room for 40 people, and a wellness area with sauna and steambath. In 2007 we hope to inaugurate the new indoor swimming pool with jacuzzi. In the last years all rooms have been modernised, and behind the hotel you can relax on the terrace which is surrounded by a beautiful garden.

If cancelled up to 2 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged. If cancelled later, 80 percent of all nights will be charged. In case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged.

All children are welcome. All children under 4 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding. All children under 4 years are charged EUR 5.00 per night and person for cots. All children under 12 years are charged EUR 25.00 per night and person for extra beds. Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 1.

Hotel Overview

The hotel offers 18 guestrooms in the first floor. Each room is equipped with shower/wc, soundproof windows and shutters for a good night’s rest.

The cosy restaurant with a fireplace offers 70 seats. When booking halfboard you can choose at dinner between 4 starters, 4 main dishes and 4 desserts. Furthermore we offer a wide variety at our salad buffet.

Hotel Location

The region ‚Sauerland’ offers a lot of outdoor activities like hiking, mountain biking, nordic walking, parasailing, skiing and lots more. In ‘Winterberg’ you will find the biggest ski resort northwards the Alps, which has snowguns, and therefore snow all over the winter season. Besides the sporting activities you can also just enjoy the beautiful nature with lots of woods, lakes and hills or you can visit one of the interesting museums of the region. The Sauerland is always worth a visit, no matter which time of the year.

How to reach us: By car or bike: Drive into the direction of ‚Oberhausen’, passing ‚Dortmund’. Take the exit ‘Kassel’, ’Paderborn’ and ‘Arnsberg’. Go in the direction of ‘Bestwig’ and follow the signs for ‘FortFun’. In ‘Ramsbeck’ go in the direction of ‘Andreasberg’. The hotel is situated in front of the church. If you come by train, go to the station of Bestwig. Please call us beforehand and we will pick you up from the train station.
