Hotel Overview

Our 46 guest rooms have been individually furnished with great attention to detail; no two rooms are the same, but all feature the same facilities and the same inviting, welcoming atmosphere. Many of our rooms offer an extraordinary view of the lake Bistensee or of the gently rolling hills of the Hüttener Berge. All of our ground floor rooms, whether facing the lake or the garden, feature a furnished terrace. Rooms on the first floor include a private balcony. Our comfortable, classic cottage-style rooms offer a wonderful view of either the lake or the garden. Or you may wish to stay in one of our coach rooms, which once provided basic accommodation for coachmen.

Our kitchens offer dishes lovingly prepared from high quality produce, most of which stems from the region. In our gourmet restaurant, classic French cuisine and regional influences are combined in creative fashion. For this special achievement, we were awarded a Michelin star. We also offer fine rustic cuisine at moderate prices. Open daily from 12:00 to 14:00 and from 18:00 until 22:00.

Hotel Location

We are surrounded by the gently rolling hills of the Hüttener/Duvenstedter Berge, and occupy a 25,000 m2 area on the banks of lake Bistensee. This breathtaking location offers tranquility and an almost meditative ambience. Despite this setting, our hotel is easy to find and provides an excellent base from which to explore the North Sea, the Baltic Sea, Kiel, Hamburg, Denmark or one of the many nature parks in the local area. Many of our guests simply explore the local surroundings. In the summer the lake invites you to go swimming or rowing, while long walks and hikes around the lake are possible all year round. Bicycles are available to guests.
