each room at wizards thatch has its own indulgent character. it boasts one of the largest and most comfortable four-poster beds in the county, draped in red and gold tapestries. during your stay you will be pampered with luxurious bathrobes, complimentary slippers, fine toiletries and a superb hospitality tray. to complete the romantic atmosphere, you can sit outside by the pond, light the candelabra, and sip your drinks. wizards thatch forms part of the historic, 400-year-old summerhill cottages. the cottages lie at the foot of the edge, a reputed mystical sandstone outcrop, which stands guard over the cheshire plain at alderley edge. it takes its name from a local legend involving a wizard, king arthur, his knights and a farmer.
