the town of troyan is situated at an altitude of 400 m, on the picturesque terraced banks of the beli ossum river, at the foot of the stara planina mountain. the town features unique combination of blossoming spring, cool summer, sunny and warm autumn and snowy but mild winter.

the guests of the hotel have a large choice of hiking routes in the troyan part of the balkan mountains. one of the most attractive ones is within the "kozyata stena" (i.e. the goat's wall) preserved area. it is located in a part of the mountain which bears the same name and is a true botanic paradise. it features more than 40 extinct and preserved plant species.
ten kilometers southeast of troyan, in the northern foot of the troyan part of the stara planina mountain, stands the largest monastery in that mountain – the troyan stavropighial monastery “the assumption of the holy mother”. ever since its creation in the 17 c. the monastery has been among the most precious christian and cultural spots in bulgaria.
